Castle of Oria :

	At the north part of the island, just before cape Kefalos and between the hills of Sklavo and Gialoudi, you will find the Castle of Oria.




It used to be the old capital city of the island, which was deserted by the Venetians and was moved to Messaria, when the Turks destroyed it around 1570.




	Today, there are only some remains of the houses and of two churches, as well as parts of the hagiographies.




The view from the area of the Castle is unique, but to reach it we recommend to first ask for detailed instructions on how to get there, since the path that leads there is not well preserved.
